U2, Michael Jackson, Jonas Brothers, Justin Beiber, Hannah Montana aka Miley Cyrus, and Glee. What do they all have in common? 3D concert movies starring them. And now America's favorite person to hear on the radio (6 number one hits since summer 2010, 7 total) is coming to the big screen.
Katy Perry announced today via Twitter that a 3D concert movie is in the works called Katy Perry: Part of Me and is tentatively set to be released in the summer of this year by Paramount Pictures, the same studio that released Justin Bieber's 3D movie last year.
Even though the 3D fad has been fading, I'm sure this will play well as Katy Perry is the hottest thing right now since buttered sliced bread - oven toasted.
So who's next? Safest bet is Lady Gaga Imax 4D, but you cant rule out Beyonce and Jay Z, Coldplay, Taylor Swift, Young Money, Black Eyed Peas, Bruno Mars, Flo Rida, Kanye West, LMFAO, Wiz Khalifa, Waka Flocka Flame, and the new queen Adele - basically everyone on the radio. Also, I wonder if Russel Brand will be at the midnight showing? Nahh. Expect KP's Part of Me July 5th.
